One of my favorite "old souls" is Cuban-born Santa Fe resident Ariela Boronat.  She has a one-of-a-kind perspective on the world, a sharp wit, a thoughtful mind, and an eye for combining great colors together.

You can find Ariela regularly at the Artists' Market at Santa Fe's Railyard on weekends.  Known for her exciting Latin American-inspired linocuts that burst with a rainbow of colors, Boronat has been experimenting with mixed media.  Here are a few of her recent pieces that I thought I'd share with you.  These pieces involve transferring images onto pieces of fabric that have been hand-dyed several times.
